If you feel the need to cook your babys food in order to try to keep most of the nutrients in the food still you should steam all the food, dont boil them you will boil all the nutrients out.
Well... you don't boil ALL the nutrients out, just the water soluble ones, and you can add at least some of them back in by using the water either form steaming or boiling (steaming still leaks vitamins into the water) to puree the food
