New to the North Dallas area

I am momma to two boys - ages 4 1/2 years and 21 months old.  We just moved from Las Vegas to the area for my hubby's job.  We are in the Farmers Branch-Carrollton area.  I would love to connect with other moms in the surrounding areas.  I keep hearing such bad things about the schools, that any information would be great.  Also, we are on the hunt for a pediatrician.  A bit progressive ped would be great...delayed vacs, knowledgeable of attachment parenting and high needs children...would be best for us.  Any help would be great!!! I've never met her personally but I've heard wonderful things about Dr Deborah Bain.

We have seen Dr Bain - not as our regular pedi because she is far from us but as a supplement to my more standard pedi we see.  She has been very helpful with my daughters allergies and I wish I would have found her sooner.  She doesn't have the best "personality" if you will but she is certainly all of the things you listed and her PA is great.  The office is very busy so just know that going in.

We almost just moved to the Carrolton Farmers Branch area but I ended up buying a house in East Dallas instead.  Schools didnt really have much to do with my decision because I am planning to do Montessori but I do have some info on some area schools if you would like to ask particular questions or send me a private message.

This is a rather old post, I know, but I just joined the boards. I live in Carrollton and have a 10 year-old dd. Have you heard by now that northern Carrollton, closer to The Coloney, is in the Lewisville school disctrict? It is overall very good. Carrollton/Farmers Branch gets lower marks, though it's probably brought down by the high number of ESL hispanics in the area.
