How did I *not* know about this site? I subscribed to Mothering awhile back, and only today realized there was a community forum, doh!
I'm glad to see an Alaska/Hawaii chapter on here, haven't met many mommas who think like me :)
My name is Megan, I'm 20(yes, I know, I'm young :P), I'm married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two beautiful children. A 2.5 year old daughter (Autumn) and 13 month old son (Sylas). My daughter was born at Providence and my son was born at One Family. I'm currently getting certified to become a birth doula through Childbirth International and am attending UAA.
My parenting gets the weird looks from many, especially my peers. I believe in EBF, ERF--had I known before flipping my daughter FF*sigh*, baby wearing(big Boba fan!), cloth diaper, delayed solids, delayed vaccinations, I'd love to homeschool but have to work when I get my degree--so we're doing Waldorf education, free play, natural childbirth, gentle discipline, co-sleeping, etc. etc. I'm always up to chat(and possibly meet!) with other mommas who share my parenting beliefs!
