Breastfeeding Basics?

Hi all,

I'm a first time mom-to-be, due near the end of July. There's lots of great posts on this site about breastfeeding but what I'm really hoping to find is a relatively comprehensive article or thread about breastfeeding basics. Common problems and solutions, things to watch out for, etc. My midwife is a LC as well so I know I'll have help once baby is here, but I'd like to be as prepared as I can be. I'm 100% dedicated to breastfeeding for at least a year so I'd like to get the best start that I can, KWIM?

Any info you can point me to would be much appreciated!!

I would highly recommend visiting kellymom. www.kellymom.com is a terrific source of information both for a good introduction, and also for getting help with any challenges that may arise along the way.

I second the pp, but also if you can get your hands on a copy of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding and So That's What There For!  Two excellent books.
