Healing ground that has been sprayed with chemicals

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for my situation.

I posted HERE about how our neighbor sprayed a toxic chemical on our lawn. It was a herbicide/pesticide combo, and super strength. Apparently stronger than Round-up.  He coated a 20 foot square area of backyard.

How can I help our yard recover? Should I till that area and plant flowers, etc.?  I am not planting any food plants there now....

Thanks.

If you till it, I would add activated charcoal to hopefully soak up some of the toxins.

What did he use?  By Brand name.

What are the EXACT ingredients?

Take that and look up the time it takes for the ingredients to break down, and what the manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning up spills is.

I'm also curious to know what he used. How you handle the damage really depends on what the chemical is.

But I also wanted to offer hugs. I lost an entire garden many years ago to a neighbor who was overzealous with a really potent herbicide, too. It is an awful feeling.
