Who's ready for the new season of So You Think You Can Dance?

I dvr'd last night's episode and haven't gotten to watch yet, but I'm SO EXCITED! The previews look great for another fabulous season. I just hope they don't do it like last year.

anyone else feel like auditions were a bit rushed this year. and there wasn't that much backstory for us to fall in love with the dancers before the top 20 was revealed?

I just finished watching this weeks shows! I really liked how they didn't draw out the auditions... every time they show a lot of back story, I get attached to someone who didn't make it. I was already loving that girl Sasha's sister (I think her name is)  and she got booted out, so I was happy my heart wasn't broken multiple times :)

HUH? Are we just supposed to know what a bunch of random letters stands for? The name of the show isn't even mentioned in the body of the post.

It's So You Think You Can Dance.  I suppose if you're watching it the letters aren't so random.

I just caught up to episode 3 (LA) but I haven't seen this week's show.  I love watching it, but I don't have a ton of tv watching time so I try to sneak it in here and there :)

LOL, yes.

I loved that they kind of rushed through the auditions.  I love this show and am so excited for the new season!  I hope they put the old seasons on Netflix On Demand soon, because I can't get enough!

Sorry, Arduinna. I edited. If you watch the show, you'd probably know the letters. I edited the title.

I liked how the auditions were faster this year. I also liked how each set of dancers danced on the show right after we found out they were in the Top 20. Nice little change. I also think I'm going to like that the All Stars will be introduced when the Top 20 reach the Top 10. Kind of a "best of both worlds" thing going on.

I gotta say- so far I don't think the ballroom dancer woman should be in the Top 20. I know they needed/wanted a ballroom dancer but she was HORRIBLE doing hip hop.

I wish Janene's (sp?) sister would have made it. But only because they would have showed Janene in the audience so much. I LOVE her. But her sister did make really bad faces while dancing. I also can't get over how much they look alike!

Just based on the first night of performances, I'm liking the contemporary men the best. We'll see how it continues, though.

My favorite part is Vegas week, they could do 10 hours of that and I'd probably be happy.  Once they actually start competing, I don't find it as interesting, but I still watch, of course.  But for some reason, last week my DVR cut off about halfway through.  I have no idea why.

One of my facebook friends who was or still is an MDC mom knows one of the dancers, so now I want to vote for that dancer.

Yeah, unless there is a guest judge that I love (like Kristen Chenowith last week!) then I fast forward all of the judging and stuff. I just watch the dances and the lead-in/practice where they talk about what the routine is about. It's makes the show go by much faster. LOL!

I could so do without Li'l C!  And I enjoy the guest judges but jeez, what is SYTYCD putting in their drinks??  LOL

I was disappointed that Miranda was voted off.  I really liked her and would have loved to have seen her go to the finals.  It's a really tough group though and week to week I have NO idea who is going to be on the chopping block, whereas last season it wasn't hard to tell.

Awww I love Lil C! I fast forward anytime Mary opens her mouth to speak. Can't stand it anymore. And I usually fast forward Nigel too. I CANNOT WAIT until Lady Gaga is a judge, though. Should be soon! :)

My favorite dancer is Melanie (short hair). I'm on the fence about the boys but I really like Marco (the one that was shot and has a weird, high voice)

I also really liked Miranda. I don't think I currently have a favorite. Not crazy about Clarice, Jess. or Melanie (even though she is very good, there is something about her I don't like right now) Or Sasha or Alexander. Hmmm....sounds like I don't like anyone, LOL. I do like Jordan and Tadd. The bottom 3 couples just seem to be weird this season-I know it's a really good group which makes it hard but it still seems like the ones who are ending up in the bottom three are not the ones who deserve it.

I thought that guy who got voted off this week was really cute.And I always loved his solos. Figures, every time there's a guy who I think is good looking he gets voted off. I knew he was gone this week,though, their dance wasn't that good.

The girl with the short hair is a good dancer but I don't know what it is that annoys me about her.  I dont think I really have a favorite right now. My favorite was the ball room dancer, (probably because she was so much older and I wanted her to beat the little 18 year old's butts)  but she's long gone.
