CNM recommendations for South Jordan UT

Hello everyone!

I need your help. My good friend is pregnant with her first and due in August. This year has been really hard for her because her father took his own life. Because of this, she has not been able to focus on finding a good care provider. I feel like it is really important for her to have a wonderful drug-free birth like she wants so I need help from you ladies.

She really wants a natural birth in a hospital, but has had trouble finding a midwife she likes. She has United Health Care insurance and was thinking about delivering at the Intermountain hospital in Murray.

I was hoping someone on here would have some knowledge of a good midwife practice or natural friendly OB that she could use. She is with an OB right now that does not seem very helpful for natural childbirth. Also, any recommendations for an affordable bradley classes would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Jessica

My good friend birthed naturally with Julie Jones, CNM at the new hospy in Riverton.  She had a good experience.  I had my first with the intermountain nurse midwives and wouldn't recommend them.  there were a few I loved and I was okay with the rest of the midwives I met in the office.  When I got to the hospital to have DS, a midwife I'd never met was on call who apparently only did births, no office time at all... just not cool with me.  I want to know my birth professional and know they are going to be with me.  Julie Jones only has one other CNM in her office so it's not a never ending parade of midwives with varying philosophies and approaches to birth.  Have you friend look her up and see if she's a good fit.
