Traditional vs. Holistic Chiropractic care?

I am 9 weeks pregnant with our second child and due to a very difficult labor and birth with DD, it has been suggested to me to see a Chiropractor with this pregnancy. I understand the lifestyle and dietary aspects of holistic chiropractic care, but is there anything different about the adjustments or spinal care itself? I was told that with excruciating back labor and five hours of pushing (within which DD would slide back into the womb and out of my pelvis every time I let go of a push) that my pelvis is out of alignment. We work with a natuorapath and nutritionist already, so can I just see a traditional chiropractor for alignment? Thanks for any advice :)

I would seek out a good craniosacral therapist before seeking out a chiropractor. I had chiropractic all my life, from very good chiropractors, including all through my first pregnancy. It worked well for me, except that adjustments would always slip out so I would need to go very very regularly to see the most benefit. When I got craniosacral, everything stayed in alignment and I stopped needing chiropractic. The tissues that hold the alignment need attention first. Craniosacral also benefited me in myriad other ways. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I will look into the craniosacral stuff this week. Thank for the info!

Aren't they all holistic? I'm like 99% sure they are traditionally holistic at least.

Craniosacral is holistic for sure. I was just wondering about any differences in the spinal adjustments themselves..
