I'm Andrea--a former moms board post addict. I let my subscriptions slide and left being active online for a while for a variety of reasons. I don't think I was ever a member here though. I'm 33 years old but for just one more week as my birthday is on the 7th. I have been married to Shawn for almost 9 years. We have 7 1/2 year old Owen and almost 6 year old Hannah (18 months apart). We are Southern Baptists. Shawn is a machinist. I write freelance on what is becoming fewer and fewer occasions on the Yahoo Contributor Network (look me up :) ). Because of my medical history (it is insane as it includes 3 cancer diagnoses by age 30, twenty-something surgeries, chemotherapy, and Cowden Syndrome) I am unable to physically hold down a job. Cowden Syndrome is diagnosed in approximately 1 in 250,000 people. Sadly both of my children inherited it from me. Anyway it's a thorn but not all of who we are--just means I have an increased understanding of those facing cancer and cancer related scares.

I have a degree in psychology that I sometimes put to work when I freelance write. I love family history, writing, archiving, gardening, playing with the kids of course, reading, and being a Christian. My faith is important to me but I don't get preachy at others for disagreeing with my beliefs. If we all believed the same it would be a boring and lousy world.Â
