IMC allowing waterbirth?

Hi all! My friend is a doula with a client that is having her baby at IMC soon. We both remember reading an article in November or December on IMC allowing waterbirths, but can't find it now. Her client would like a waterbirth, but when she called the hospital a nurse told her they don't allow them. Can anyone help?

This is probably too late, but for anyone else who is interested:  Nope they don't allow them.

They have bathtubs and inflatable labor tubs but if they know you are about to push, they will make you get out.

Aww, that is very disappointing.  I will most likely deliver at IMC the next time around (I delivered DD at IMC and DS at St. Mark's) -- assuming I can get pregnant again -- and was going to look into their policy on water births.  Does anyone know if St. Mark's allows water births?

This is way late, but no, St Marks does not allow water birth.  I don't believe any hospital in Utah does, only laboring in the water.  Yay for birth centers and home birth!
