Nursing Mamas TTC June - Page 5

Thanks, Buglette & JMJ. It's good to have someone agree with FF this first time charting.

Okay, you guys, so the vivid dreams have already started, lol.  Last night, I dreamed that I was taking some HPTs (all in just one single day).  They were coming up negative.  I had a friend coming over and she knew I was taking some tests and was going to help me with them somehow, lol.  Then I noticed that some of the tests (cassette style, like Dollar Tree) already had two super-faint pink lines already on the test, even before I peed on it.  So I started checking out each test and tossing the ones that had those faint lines, thinking it was a manufacturing defect.  My friend saw me doing this, and she stopped me and wanted me to take one of those tests anyway.  So I did, and the two super-faint pink lines both turned very bold and bright.  I took a couple more tests (including some that were not pre-lined, lol) and they were positive too.  Then I remember looking around to find a hiding spot to hide the tests from DH until I could get a picture taken of them, lol.

Hi There, I haven't posted in this thread for a couple months but I've been lurking...  Got my BFP last night at 11dpo.  Really excited!  For what it's worth, I had been having super short Luteal Phases (6-8 days) and started taking b6 (50 mg/day) two cycles ago, which definitely seemed ed to affect things even the first cycle.  I'm still nursing my 18mo quite a bit and I think that may have been the culprit of the short LPs.

Congrats, krjt!!!!! jumpers.gif

Were you having symptoms, and that made you decide to test at 11 dpo, or were you just picking that day because it was a few days past your usual LP?  About how many times a day/night were you nursing?

Congratulations, krjt!!!!  That's wonderful.  Happy nine months to you!

Yay, krjt!  :D

Yay, krjt! I hope everything goes well for you!

Bugglette, I chart on paper so don't have a link! Sorry! I found an app for my phone and was trying to keep up with both...HA! And, for a while I thought I would do all 3, including FF, just because...not happening. I can barely keep up with one!

JMJ, I hope you don't mind me asking...but do you use the CCL's method for charting? I think someone else on MDC told me you did?

My training was with TAONFP 4th Edition when the Kippleys were still with CCL.  My method now more closely resembles the Kippleys' new manual with NFPI, but we're still CCL members and have kept up to date with what CCL is doing.

Congratulations,  krjt    !!!!!!

Would you gals mind looking at my OPK? Yesterday they were much lighter, so I'm clearly getting closer to that LH surge. But the digital says negative. Would you all think that in the next 24 hours i'll see a big change?? I'm in the midst of food poisoning, so this is not what i needed for this to come early lol

So I have another "sign" that I may get pregnant this cycle.  My sister is PG with her 3rd, due in August, and she called me today and we were talking and stuff.  It's her first girl after two boys, and her DH wants the baby in turtlenecks and long pants all the time, no dresses, lol.  Poor BIL just doesn't know what to do with a girl, and my sis said that he's worried about finances and space w/ a third baby and whatnot (they are in a 2-BR apartment right now).  Then out of the blue, she asked me, "So what would Tim say if you got pregnant?"  She was thinking that he'd be all upset and worried and stuff like her DH is.  I obviously couldn't tell her that we were trying right now, LOL, but I did say that he'd probably be happy and jump up and down a little.  She couldn't fathom that, lol.  But it was just a funny situation, her randomly asking me that question out of the blue in the first place.

Aka mommy, that OPK looks pretty nearly positive to me.  Hope your food poisoning goes away soon.  :hugs:

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone!

TenzinsMama, I wouldn't really say I was having symptoms, but I was intrigued by the seemingly longer LP.  However, that happened last month as well - I had been having mostly consistent 26-28 day cycles and last month my cycle was 33 days, with an 11 day LP as well.  This cycle, I ovulated on day 19, whereas I had been ovulating on day 21 or 22 (I wasn't charting temps consistently as we are cosleeping).  Nursing-wise, it definitely varies day to day, sometimes as few as three times, usually many more than that (6-8+).  At night, once he comes into our bed (between midnight and 4am) he's pretty much on the breast until morning, nursing intermittently.

(I was SO SURE that I had O'd on CD 33 because everything lined up).  I guess we'll see....

That sounds very frustrating....26dpo does seem fairly unlikely but not impossible. Can you go for a blood test?

Congratulations!!!! I've upped my B6 to 125mg/day this cycle so I'm hoping it has a similar effect! Thanks for sharing your success with it :)

Afm: Temp dove down this morning....hoping it's a one off thing! Too early for implantation I'm assuming.

Wow, that is VERY encouraging... Your situation sounds so much like mine, with the temping inconsistencies and co-sleeping, frequent nursing (especially during that midnight to 4 am stretch!), later Os and the short LPs... I ovulated on day 21 this cycle, and I'm currently 10dpo. I hope that I find myself following along the same trajectory as you, and I find myself in the Feb 2012 DD club, too!  *Regardless of what happens, to hear this from you gives me so much hope!!!!!

I got AF back right after DD was born so I think I am fertile then....She is 20 m/o now and still nursing at least 7x a day...usually much more.

Cellist, Hi!

Yes, it is my birth year. biggrinbounce.gif  And just like you, I don't want to wait for another baby too long.  I already feel like I should have started so much sooner.  I wish I at least had ONE ppaf.  I was soooo happy not to have had one for so long and now I want it baaaad!  sleepytime.gif   I don't think it's that easy to get pregnant on the first pp ovulation (without a period).  I reduced the number of nursing sessions (sadly I already see a very quick decrease in my supply - never had a problem up until now).

So good luck to everyone on here!!! goodvibes.gif

I too was born in 78... wink1.gif

I have been crampy off and on recently and sick this week.  Like a stomach bug starting.  And talk about exhausted.  So what do I do?  bag.gif  I go to Walgreens and buy their stupid blue dye test and of course the first one gives me a false positive.  I knew I wasn't pregnant, there was maybe a 0.00000001% chance of me getting pregnant.  The other was of course negative.  Note to self, never buy blue dye hpt again. shake.gif  Funny thing though, at first I was a little freaked out, thinking it's too soon, dd is too little, needs to nurse, etc. and then after the bfn I was dissapointed.  hammer.gif I'm telling you, I'm so hormonal it's not even funny.  Poor dp.

I'm not ready to wean dd yet, but I cut down on the times she nurses.  Well what do you know - I roughly counted the times she nurses in an average day - it's about 9 times (dd is 18 m).  We're down to 6 now and my boobs are killing me.  They're painful, harder than rocks and squirt and leak milk.  So we're getting some sort of a schedule.  Whether this is good bad I don't know yet.  hide.gif
