I can' t be sure without more charting information than you have but from everything that you're saying in the past few posts, I wonder if that was breakthrough bleeding and not a period.

From The Art of NFP 4th Edition:

The endometrium builds up so much that the top layer cannot be sustained just by estrogen, so it breaks down.  It may be only spotting, or it may be like a normal menstrual flow.  Generally, a mucus discharge occurs at the same time.

As you continue to chart your temperature, if you experience a bloody discharge that is not preceded by a thermal shift, it is not a real period.  You should regard yourself as fertile and continue charting on the same chart until you experience a thermal shift and begin a true period.

Hello all! I'll post later with personal replys, but just wanted to jump in and share the results from the first part of my bloodwork...

Normal!

Every stinkin' level is within normal range. Follicle stimulating horomone, LH levels, Thyroid stimulating horomone, prolactin, etc etc....Now I just have to wait to get the progesterone levels checked. I'm actually kind of hoping that my progesterone is low, just because I have a LOT of symptoms of it being low....and then I'll know why it's been taking so long to pg, and FIX IT! Ugh....I'm the type of person who needs answers. If my progesterone levels come back normal, then DH is off to be tested too...something he is NOT looking forward to. ;)

You are very helpful JMJ. I appreciate that. Im going to try to give you as much background info as I can. I think I may have ovulated, myself but dont want to get too excited. I inserted a new NUVARING on May 18th. I was using it to get through the last 3 cycles of not being able to get PG, hormonal B/C is just nasty stuff for me. I was not having periods which no matter what B/C I have been on was not normal for me. I had one the first month on it and then not the next 2. I removed it Sunday May 29. I essentially had it in for 11 of the 21 days. So I took it out mid cycle. It was causing so much pain and anxiety because of the pain I just couldnt take it. I had had a hard time conceiving originally and then we had tried again last summer and I was not ovulating so my Dr said I should try Clomid this time to get things back on track and ovulate/menstruate. I started the clomid Tues May 31. I started bleeding Thursday (spotting some dark red teeny tiny clots mixed w a ton of EWCM.) it picked up to light red streaking in a ton of EWCM the next day then a little less the next day, by yesterday it looked like it was stopping, then last night I got a little blood tinged EWCM, then more and it was about 3 inches of stretch when I checked it. Then this AM a temp spike.

Essentially I took out the NUVARING right around what would be gearing up for O time. Because that had worked for me in the past with TTC and also ovulating and getting somewhat of a normal cycles back. So if you count the whole cycle since I inserted the nuvaring then it is technically CD 19. If you count from where I removed the NR it would be CD 8. I knew I should have waited to take the clomid and take out the damn NR it was just hurting so much. UGH. Anyway. Not taking anymore Clomid this cycle. Ill call the Dr tomorrow and let them know what happened. Hoping the temp tomorrow AM will give me more insight.

What your body does while recovering from taking hormonal birth control is totally out of my realm of knowledge, so I have no idea what that means for if you ovulated or not.  What you experienced could also have been a withdrawl bleed from the hormones.  Best of luck to you.

Tuesday Check-In

Name: SilaMarila

Date: 6/7 DS is 19mo today!

Chart: to boring to look at

Where are you in your cycle: CD43

Appointments: Had acupuncture this morning and again on Thurs. Need to sched. an app w/ my GP for hormone blood work and figure out my stomach issues

Symptoms if they apply:

Testing: Did a $ store test this morning "just in case" because my acupuncturist had asked me to. It was as white as could be which I totally expected. Though it was fun to think "what if" and fun to get to use a test hehe.

Thoughts: My acupuncturists did points today that are supposed to as she said "encourage your womb" and hopefully trigger AF. It will be interesting to see what happens and how my body responds. I also have a bunch of little seeds in my ears that do something for my uterus headscratch.gif Like I said earlier, she said 3 months - in which I was fantasizing us not trying and not preventing and maybe ending up with a "surprise". But, she really thinks it is important for me to be completely healthy and at balance and said we should prevent. When you haven't been preventing for so long preventing seems like such a hassle!!! So technically I am "Waiting to Be Ready". A little bummed about it but I totally understand what she is saying and really want an easy pregnancy this time. I need to stay busy these next 3 months! On top that I seem to have gotten a terrible stomach bug and am pretty sure I have an ulcer now...so painful...

Really late technically Tuesday Monday Check-In

Name: Mary

Date: 6/7/11

Chart: on my phone

Where are you in your cycle: CD 25, 10 dpo

Appointments: energy work and bodywork last week.

Symptoms if they apply: some v. light cramping, tender nipples, some nausea mixed with hunger, creamy cm, dizziness.

Testing: waiting until af is a no show

Thoughts: Well I'm not sure if it's the weather or pregnancy symptoms. The weather here has been really hot and I've been feeling kind of weird. I swear almost every feeling you have you can make into a pregnancy symptom ;-). Hopeful and I'm going with the wait and see method of dealing with the 2ww.
Sila: happy 19 month bday to your son! The beads in your ears are constantly stimulating your organs in a similar way to acupuncture, kind of like needles on the go ;-). Hang in there I bet you'll start feeling more balanced overall within the next couple of weeks. Acupuncture is slower than taking a drug but is very nourishing and balancing to the "whole" you. I hope your tummy feels better soon, that totally sucks!

Thanks maryk! I feel very at peace going this routine rather than just going straight to fertility drugs. She also did some work for my tummy so hopefully I have some relief soon! I am very hopeful for you!!! Keep us posted! How many days until AF would be a no show?

Sila: 4 days until a (hopefully) missed af! I can hardly wait, but I'm trying :-)
