I used to work with a nurse named Annika and it was pronounced AHN-ika. No one ever shortened her name to Annie or anything else. She was adorable and sweet and smart and so fun to work with so I have very good associations with that name! It was actually on my list of girl names that I was considering.
Tracy, sorry to hear that you're not sleeping! I would be a total mess if I wasn't getting any sleep. I actually feel more rested now than I did when I was pregnant. But trying to get moving or get anything done before 9 am is just about impossible. Ezrah wakes up at 5 am-ish to nurse and then again around 6:30 or so and then I fall back to sleep until about 8:30 or 9. That morning sleep is soooo necessary or else I really have a hard time functioning!
And for some reason my kids even misbehave in the store now. They're 12 & 10 (DD will be 11 next Saturday) so they know the rules and they know what I expect of them. But for some reason they seem to think that because we have a baby now they don't have to follow the rules. We're going to have to start a schedule next week because nothing is getting accomplished and they want to go do things, but then they futz around all morning and don't take care of their stuff and then it's too late to go anywhere or do anything. It's infuriating!! As we speak, they are taking a MILLION YEARS to eat breakfast, which means that it pushes their chores back further, which means that by the time they're done with everything it will be nap time in the afternoon and we won't be able to go to the library. My nap time, I should specify, because Ezrah will sleep anywhere. lol
