I am looking to either join or start an ap-friendly playgroup in the quad cities. Â I am moving to Geneseo, just outside the quad cities, this summer and the only tot group out there was a christ-centered traditional parenting group that I did not feel would be a good fit for my daughter and me. Â I plan on having more children in the future and would love to meet some like minded moms near by. And by like minded all I mean is nice, caring moms who like to have a good time!Â

There are lots of AP minded mommas in the QC! Start by going to a La Leche League meeting (or contacting a Leader). That conversation should lead you to various play groups. I know there are a few homeschooling groups too. I also have had several couples from Geneseo take my HypnoBirthing class -- so I know there are mommas out there that believe in natural birth. Good luck connecting! If you find me on facebook, I could direct you to the mommas that I know in Geneseo.

I know I'm posting a little late on here.My kids are a bit too old for playgroups, but I wanted to say hi to you local mamas. I live in Moline. We moved here in October from Houston, Texas. I still haven't really met any natural, AP-minded families around here, but I'm used to feeling like the odd one. LOL!
Thanks for the responses! There is a huge relief just knowing there are other like-minded families in the quad cities. We are moving from a progressive neighborhood in Chicago to small town at the end of the month and one of my biggest concerns is how will we possible connect with anyone there. Thank you for the advice to join the local la leche league. I think that is going to be first priority after moving in. Thanks again everyone.
