Mateo German - June 1st - our angel was born still

It is with amazing sadness that I let you all know that our little boy passed away during labor. I went through with labor after we found out and was able to have our VBAC that I promised him. I will write a full birth story for those that are interested in hearing it.

There was nothing that could have been done, it was a severe umbilical cord torsion, that happened suddenly during a normal labor. We heard his normal heartbeat and an hour later when we check again, there was none. An emergency ultrasound showed no heartbeat at that point. I went through with labor and gave birth vaginally to him. He arrived at 7pm June 1st, weighing 10 lbs 6oz. And was 20.4 inches long. We were able to hold him, and take a few pictures of him, before I was rushed to OR because I tore very badly in three different places.

We are taking some time to heal and I am grateful in advance for your thoughts and prayers.
