What do you use to protect your diapers from rash cream?

We use pockets and love Burt's Bees diaper rash cream.  A friend had given me a few pieces of old fabric (I think fleece) to line the diapers with, but as ds gets older and eats a more varied diet I find that we need to use the cream a little more frequently.  So I'm finding that we need more liners for the diapers to have handy.  Is fleece the best fabric to use for this purpose?  Do I just go to the fabric shop and buy any kind of fleece and cut to fit the diapers?

Well, you could always get a cloth-safe rash cream (Homestead Company, Magic Stick, CJ's Butter, etc.)

It's been a while since I had one in CDs but when I did, I had a bunch of micro fleece that I cut up and laid them between the dipe and the child.  It was inexpensive so if it got ruined by cream or poo, I didn't care.  Another option is disposable liners.  Not too costly but I preferred the  cloth option because I only had to throw away a couple of the liners.  If you do decide to go the fleece route, make sure it's micro fleece and not one of the thicker options.

Thanks for the suggestion of the micro fleece, I didn't realize there was more than one kind of fleece!  Hopefully I can find some at the fabric shop!  :)

I made some for my ds and found the microfleece in the clearance remnant section of JoAnn's.  I think I paid $2.79 for a little less than a yard of fabric.  The print wasn't great - little ducks -  - but heck, it's going to get peed on right?

Fleece works. I have know people to cut up fleece blankets or sweatshirts to make liners out of.
