our little boy, Oliver Lee, was born in water at home yesterday, june 3 at 5:08pm after 18 hours of labor and 8 min of pushing (i'm pretty proud of that last part) he weighs 7lb 4oz and is, as far as all can tell, utterly perfect. DH was amazing, the midwives were fantastic, the birth tub was heavenly. we are all well, resting, and bonding.
but i will say natural birth is not for the faint of heart! dang. i'm looking forward to being able to pee without cursing.

I am due in 3 weeks and and excited/nervous about the birth.. I am planning for a water birth at home and remember that pain all too well! Can't wait to meet my little bundle of joy!! :)

oh i hear you!!! day 12 for me and i've just started peeing without my peri bottle. i probably could have stopped like 5 days ago but i was too scared :P
