I keep mine in the cupboard, not too close to the stove/oven and it does not seem to go bad.

I keep a jar in each bathroom and one next to the stove.  We go through the one next to the stove pretty quickly  so it never goes bad but sometimes the ones in the bathrooms can have a different smell.  I think the ones in the bathrooms sit for a longer period of time and sometimes get water in them.  Once I ordered 5 gallons from Mt Rose Herbs and had it for over a year. . .it never went bad and I just stored it in my cupboard in the living room and just took it out to fill up smaller jars.

Just buy good quality extra virgin expeller pressed, and it will last a long time.
We keep a big jar in the kitchen, and a small one in the bedroom hide.gif and a tiny one in our diaper bag.

I concur!  Even down here in the hot, humid Caribbean where EVERYTHING spoils in 2-3 days we just keep it in the cupboard (and in all the other places previous posters have mentioned blush.gif) and I've never had it go bad on me.  It's the best stuff ever!

I just finished a jar that got lost in the pantry and it's best before day was Nov 09. It was fine.

We store it in the pantry. I've never had one go rank on me, and it gets pretty hot in our kitchen, poor air circulation.
