What do to?  I have several names, and am grateful for options in my area.  Anyone have any opinions about these strong, independent women?

Hi Milo's mom,

I'm curious about your question here, since in your other posts on MDC you "speak" as a practitioner.  Are you pregnant?  Looking to refer clients?  Fishing for information? 

 

If you are pregnant, my advice is to interview everyone in the area to find the best fit for you.  There are actually 5 LMs serving the Charleston area, and one in Beaufort.  I hope that anyone giving you feedback about individual midwives does so in a private message.

There is a midwife in Beaufort??? Who? Does she do home births? I'm looking at my options now, and even considering going to Savannah.

There's also a midwife (CNM) in the Savannah area who attends homebirths: http://www.savannahmidwife.net/
