In the past week, my 6 month old has recently started gasping a lot... like that mock-shock sound people sometimes make. He does frequently (often several times in a row) when he's nursing or eating solids, and sometimes randomly at other times too. It's almost like he's suddenly forgotten how to switch between swallowing and breathing. I don't know. It's disconcerting.

He does have pretty bad reflux, which he takes meds for. Is this something I should be calling the pediatrician about? My mama-radar isn't really giving me any clues about whether it's a sign of something serious or a weird little baby quirk. Any ideas, input, or "oh yeah mine does that too" would be welcome. Thanks!
