I've been a member of Mothering for quite a few years, but never ventured over to this section!

Ever since we almost lost our home due to mold, I have been a decluttering freak. I also have to keep things really clean since my 3 yo DS has severe dust and mold allergies.

Reading through the different threads, I am in heaven!!

Ah man! Loosing the house to mold! Terrible! But, certainly a way to move forward! :D

Oh, we didn't actually lose our house. We had to move out for almost a year and we *almost* lost the house. We are back now, and still combatting some mold in various areas.

Our basement is completely clean of items - we threw almost everything out. The only things I have that aren't in use right now are some baby clothes from my DS and some wall hangings. We even had to get rid of most of our furniture!

still, it's a lot to loose! 

i'm always impressed with how people manage when they are "forced" rather than choosing to give things up. it's truly profound.

Sounds like things are coming back together, which is great. :)
