Tricare covered homebirth in San Antonio?

I'm looking for either a birth center or homebirth midwife that is covered by tricare....


I have a couple that is well educated on homebirth but unsure if it's right for them that would prefer a midwife with the option of birth center or hospital privileges.

I'm thinking cost is a big issue- hence the tricare question.


It's their first baby.

Tricare WILL cover a homebirth. But it's a PITA. You have to hound them for a code, write the code down and make sure you don't loose it. Depending, they might cover costs up front, but they might remburse you. Good luck! Congrats on your baby :)
