I like that, sticky babies.  My girls always ask if my body is keeping this one or is the baby not ready for us yet.  Fingers crossed for us all!

Hello. I've been lurking for a few weeks and hope I can still join this group. :)

* Name: Cleo

* EDD:  Feb 8

* Age: 32
* Location: NY
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We were lucky to get it on our first TTC cycle!
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH & DS (age 2)

* Birth plans/preferences: Homebirth with my midwife (I had DS in the hospital with the same midwife)

* Anything else you'd like to share: The homebirth idea is still new to me, but I'm very excited about it (and adore and totally trust my MW!)

CGWife and Milano, my heart goes out to you both. Having a miscarriage is devastating. May you find some peace in the coming weeks. We will be thinking of you. And I agree with you, Milano, there have been so many losses on this board. Seeing as though I still have yet to hear my little one's heartbeat, I know miscarriage remains a real possibility for me as well. I hope and pray for all of our sakes that we will not be seeing anymore loss.

Name: moodymomma
* EDD: Feb. 3rd

* Age: 29 when baby's born
* Location: Minnesota
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: Not trying or preventing
* What number child is this for you: #3
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DS (age3) DD (age2) and Moses the dog
* Birth plans/preferences: Homebirth/waterbirth with midwife
* Anything else you'd like to share: Have had 2 hospital births, second one was natural. I would really prefer not to go back there. Homebirth seems like the way to go since I also don't want to drive 2 hours to a birth center in snowy MN weather.

Name:  mtn.mama

EDD: Valentines Day

Age: 40
Location: Alaska

How long it took to you to get your BFP: We decided it was time to make a baby and got pregnant the same night.  I knew at conception... I don't pee on sticks.

What number child is this for you: I believe it's #2 and #3!  I'm denying ultrasound and doppler until 20 weeks.

Family : DH, DD just turned 4, 30 dairy goats, 200 chickens, 2 dogs and a cat.

Birth plans/preferences: We live remote and are VBAC, so if there are 2 babies... we'll likely have a lovely, gentle hospital birth with a very cool OB whose wife is a doula/midwife.
Anything else you'd like to share: I'm a farmer, feeding 40-70 families a week.  My hubby is gone 6 months of the year flying and guiding big game hunts, and my Mom is our closest neighbor (a mile away).

* What number child is this for you: #4 (I lost Baby #3 in an ectopic pregnancy)
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH and two young daughters

Name: leapdaymama

* EDD: Feb. 29th

* Age: 27

* Location: Chicago IL (just moved here from the East Coast)
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 1st try!
* What number child is this for you: #1
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): beloved husband and two tubby old cats

* Birth plans/preferences: homebirth at parents' house attended by 2 CNMs, husband, mother (who is also a homebirth CNM) with birth tub so potential waterbirth

*Anything else you'd like to share: I have always known I would choose homebirth if I was lucky enough to have healthy, low-risk pregnancies. I am thrilled that my husband, who is a doctor, has been open, supportive and excited even though homebirth is new to him and he knows a little too much about all the things that could (but probably won't) go wrong because of his experience with high-risk, high-intervention hospital births.
