Hi everyone!  Wow, I thought I would be one of the first in here, since I found out pretty early.  With my son, *I* started the DD thread :lol

Name:Ozzyemm
* EDD: 02/17-20/2012

* Age: 32/33
* Location: Northern CA
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 4 months.  This was the first month we actually charted, though.
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, 5 1/2 DS, two cats (9, 8)
* Birth plans/preferences: at home with a midwife, planning a HBAC
* Anything else you'd like to share: DH really wants a girl.  With my son, I *knew* I was having a boy.  Totally was convinced, and couldn't be dissuaded.  With this one, I have no clue.  DH thinks its a girl, but I don't know if that is wishful thinking, or if he has a gut feeling.

Name: Shannon

* EDD: February 26th (1 day after DD's 3rd Birthday!)

* Age: 31
* Location: Riverside, CA

* How long it took to you to get your BFP: This was actually an "oops" pregnancy. We weren't planning on trying until later this summer, but also weren't being especially careful, so oh well! :)

* What number child is this for you: This will be our second child

* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DD (28 months), two sweet kitties.

* Birth plans/preferences: Hoping for a Home Waterbirth
* Anything else you'd like to share: This is my third pregnancy. My first ended in a missed miscarriage and was a very traumatic experience, so I am paranoid about miscarriage. I also was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix at 20 weeks with my DD and had an emergency cerclage placed and bedrested for 3 months. Luckily she was born healthy and full-term!

Please move me to Middle of the Monthers/Valentine Babies! I had an ultrasound today that moved my due date to 2/13/12. All is well, just confirms that I ovulated later than cd 14. :)

Shannon--Wow, another Riverside mama!  Nice!  Which midwife are you thinking of using?  We're interviewing Coley Douglass today.

post #91 of 253

@Janel47: I'm meeting with Karen Baker in Yucaipa on Monday. I have many friends who have had her as their MW and LOVED her, so I'm hoping she will be a good fit. Good luck at your interview!

post #92 of 253

I've heard great things about her too!  There's actually quite a few decent choices in the area, which is nice!  I was originally going to interview them all, but now that I'm pregnant I kinda hope the first one ends up being perfect so I don't have to.  biggrinbounce.gif

Name: skerries

EDD:  2/6/12

Age: 24 (25 when the baby comes)

Location: West Coast

How long it took to you to get your BFP: first try!

What number child is this for you: #1!

Family:  it's just DH and I

Birth plans/preferences:  Hospital birth with a very natural birth friendly OB

Anything else you'd like to share:  We had our first appointment and ultrasound today.  The midget is measuring four days bigger than expected (I know my O date, confirmed with OPKs) and has a heartbeat far exceeding what they wanted to see (100), so we're very optimistic!
