Flats...really less build-up

So I have a front loader and I am stripping my diapers weekly or they smell horrid and give my girls rashes.  I use prefolds and fitteds with wool and econobum covers.  I have tried vinegar soaks, rockin green funk rock, switching detergents, upping water amount as much as possible, wet pail with vinegat, dawn dish soap, tto, baking soda.....I am considering switching to sposies cause my girls are rashy and stinking and I am sick of stripping.  My last ideas are to 1)buy a top loader 2) try flats cause they seem like they would get less buildup.  Does this make sense?

How are you stripping your diapers?

I have boiled them.  I have soaked overnight in hot water and vinegar. I have used Funk Rock Ammonia stripper.

I would do bleach as it sounds like a germ issue more than a buildup.
I add bleach to my pre-wash of only poop diapers to limit the amount of damage bleach could do.

tiny bit of bleach!

Ditto to trying a tiny bit of bleach.  I put in a little bit during the regular wash - in the bleach spot, it comes to less than a tablespoon.

Otherwise I have a little bit of everything in my stash and have never had any stink issues with the flats.  I really like them.  Oh and the next wash I buy will be a top loader HE, I'm not loving my front loader for diaper washing/soaking.
