Nursing Tank Tops

Hey everybody.  I'm 37 weeks preggers and getting all jazzed up to breastfeed again!  In preparation, I'd like to get a couple of nursing tank tops.  It is already hot as blue blazes in Atlanta, and I have a feeling I will wear the heck out of tank tops for the next couple of months.

Does anyone have a tank that they absolutely love that they can recommend?  I've been searching on a few sites, but none are really standing out to me.

Thanks, y'all!

Good luck on your upcoming birth!   I love the nursing tanks from Target.  They have two different styles which I like both of.  Some have lace on the top and some don't.  All of them are long which is also a plus.  Did I mention they are around $15?  What a great deal!

It's hard. I found it like bra shopping. So individual you kinda just have to try a bunch.

I lucked out and had a local breastfeeding resource center that had a great assortment. That being said I liked target the best.

I'm kind of bummed.  I had my finger on the trigger to buy a couple of the Target tanks, but they don't have my size. I'm definitely going to have to have a small.  Argh.  I'm on a tight budget and can't spend a ton of money.  There is a Motherhood store near me.  Maybe I'll swing by there this weekend to see if they have anything that could work.

Lots of small moms can get away with just a plain low cut tank top

I have about 15 of those Target ones.  They can't be beat for the price and I wear them almost exclusively when I am with DS, including 2 that I sleep in.  That said, I've been wearing them for almost a year now and am dying for something else to wear!  LOL  Most Target stores also have them, I rarely find them online, especially if they were on sale.  Also, now that I've lost all my pregnancy weight I'm finding they don't look as nice on me - too long/loose in the belly area.  They just look sloppy now :(

i tell you what, if this summer keeps up the way its been, i'm gonna die y'all. hotter than heck. i'm looking for camis too 'cuz i can't take normal shirts and i can't walk around in just a bra...LOL the target ones didn't hold up for me, the straps were giving me a rash (????) and it bunched badly.  a friend of mine suggested a brand called....Leading Lady??? i've never heard of them but she raves about them, here's the link for it, they sell lots of nursing bras and camis apparently, but only online. have any of you tried that brand?? what do you think??? thanks! :)

I have the Target ones but my breasts are rather too large for them, no matter what size! I get the "boob thong" effect - the under layer sticks out over the top of the over layer and there's a nice slice of breast inbetween. LOL. I'd love to hear some suggestions for the well-endowed! That being said, if you're small, they are awesome - well-constructed and nice and long, as a PP mentioned. Just not for the DDD's among us!

I agree with this. I'm small (about 110 pounds, shirt size small), but my boobs are HUGE. I seriously did NOT have this problem pre-kid! I had to get a Target tank top in a medium, and that is still not big enough for my breasts (boob thong! heh) while the main part is big enough that the fabric around my waist gets all baggy and bunched up, particularly if I'm wearing another shirt on top. It's okay for hanging around the house, but I want some that fit nice for the rest of the summer.

I think I need to splurge on a brand that lets me pick a cup size in addition to a shirt size .... I'll be watching this thread for recommendations.

The bravado tanks are sized like a bra. So you order based on your back size and cup size.

Good to know, dejagerw! Thanks for the link—I may need to make an investment in one or two of those!

I love Glamourmom nursing tanks and Baby Steals has some right now.

I am slim with giant boobs. I tried the Bravado and the Glamourmom full bust top. I prefer the glamourmom because a. the band has hooks in the back which can be undone, making it easier to get on than the Bravado tank which needs to be pulled over the head and the giant sensitive boobs and b. when you snap the cup down to nurse, there is an underlayer for support and coverage, whereas the Bravado tank leaves your whole boob exposed.

My baby is only 5 wks old so I do not have long-term experience with either of these, but having tried them both I'm going to get a few more of the Glamourmom ones.
