I have had two ultrasounds in the last week. The first one I had was Saturday at one of those private ultrasound places. I was in pain, panicking, and couldn't get the on-call OB at my practice to take anything I was saying seriously, so I just needed to see the baby, make sure everything was ok, and calm myself down. The technician at the private place said she was positive it was a girl. She spent a LONG time looking, making sure that what she thought was the cord was indeed the cord and not boy parts. In her words "definitely a girl."
Â
Cut forward to today. I had my regularly scheduled anatomy scan at my doctor's office. The technician says confidently: "it's a boy!" I ask if she's sure. She points to something between its legs and says "those are the boy parts, I'd put money on it." Those same parts the private technician was convinced was the cord.
Â
So now I don't know what to think. I'm tempted to believe the doctor's office, just because it's more "official" and because I hear people are wrong more often when they say "girl" than when they say "boy." But I don't know what to think. We've already told our parents it's a girl. But now what do we tell everyone? I think we've decided we'll just tell people "boy" and if it ends up being wrong, it ends up being wrong, but I'm curious what you all think?

Did you get pictures of either?
