Just got back from the coolest thing at my 5th graders school! For several weeks the kids have been learning about the constitution and working in groups. Today their groups (in the format of Congressional Hearings) presented on a topic specific to the consitution and then fielded questions about current events from a panel of adult experts in the community. It was so amazing and moving - hearing the kids speak about the ideal use and the application of the constitution to current national, state and local events! Was so different and innivative - just had to share :)
