Hi all,

I am about 16 weeks pg and nursing my 22month old.  He seems to be slowly weaning himself - we can go a whole day or more without nursing.  On the days he does nurse, it is only once a day at most.

I am curious to know if there is any actual milk he's getting.  I don't *think* there is.  I can no longer express any manually, and his nursing consists of mostly the quick sucks like he'd do at the beginning of nursing sessions.  He no longer does the long draws.

I'm happy to keep on nursing him (even w/ no milk) for as long as he wants - even if he's not getting any calories he is clearly getting comfort!  But I'm just curious how one knows for sure that her milk is gone.

Thanks!
