Here's my experience (but obviously other people may have different impressions):
People who prefer Dr. Sacks love him because he is friendly and approachable and very clear in his communications. People who prefer someone else sometimes feel like Dr. Sacks is overly committed to one path--he tells you what to do next and there isn't a lot of room for negotiation.
People who prefer Dr. Abbasi love her because she is very experienced and competent, and she has a lot of information but is still willing to let patients make their own choices. People who prefer someone else sometimes feel like Dr. Abbasi is not as warm and friendly, and that they have to ask lots of questions to get all the information.
