Anyone been to a Maroon 5 concert?

I just got 2 free tickets to a Maroon 5 concert and I am trying to work out the details to decide if it's practical for me to go.  I'm embarrassed to say that I am in my mid-30's and have never been to any kind of real concert.  LOL

The venue is 500 miles from home, which is no problem bc I love road trips, but I can't leave my 9yo behind with anyone and I'm not sure if the show will be all-ages WRT to the band's language and the mood of the crowd.  My 16yo doesn't really like the band (9yo does however!) so I'm thinking of getting a hotel room in a good part of town and leaving them there and going to the show alone.

Ds1 is almost 17 and I feel comfortable leaving him to babysit.  My main issue is not wanting to go to the show alone.  And ds2 will be seriously pissed to be left in the hotel room while I go see one of our favorite bands.  But I'm afraid to take a 9yo to a concert...I generally skip over the songs with the F-bombs and overly sexual lyrics...

This isn't so much a request for parenting advice as it is a shout out to anyone who's been to a Maroon 5 show and can speak to the amount of profanity that can be expected.  TIA!

I went to one when I was in college (5 or so years ago?).

It was awesome.  I would take a 9yo.  I haven't listened to any of their music lately, but as long as the lyrics aren't super explicit (which they probably aren't b/c you let him listen to it), it should be fine.  They were a pretty PC band when I saw them live, hopefully someone else has seen them more recently.

The thing about Maroon 5 is that alot of their lyrics are subtley sexy so it goes way over his head.  If it's something I don't want him repeating I just skip that track (ie, struggle to memorize the way it felt between your thighs) while he's in the car.  My fear is that a concert setting may not be a good environment for him, but it's Maroon 5 and Gavin DeGraw and I desperately want to go!  LOL

Thanks!
