Hi Everyone!!!!!  We just got back from a nice and long vacation and it took over an hour to catch up on the IVF thread(s).  Wow, I missed SO MUCH!  Please forgive me if I forget something in my post :)

First, welcome to the new ladies!  I am sorry to be meeting here, but I look forward to getting to know you and supporting eachother in this difficult time.

Huge congratulations to Laggie and Kewpie's twins!!!

Blue, thanks for asking about me so often   Your new puppy is ABSOLUTELY adorable!  And I must say she looks rather well behaved :)  Sorry AF showed, but I hope you are able to find something out from your upcomming tests. Oh, and BIG thank you for starting a new thread!

Taxlady, great news on all the eggs and embies!  And it looks like your transfer is tomorrow!  Yay!!!  Did you transfer 3 last time?  How many do you plan on transferring this time? 

rcr, I really hope you check in with us every now and then.  We will certainly miss you!  I am glad to hear you are feeling a little bit better, and I know submerging myself in a new project always keeps my mind "busy".

Julie, we will miss you too!  But I hope you have a wonderful summer with your family, and I am glad your DH wanted to hold on to the crib :)

Monkey, thanks for writting "Bitter Sushi Ladies"...I have been wondering for weeks what the BSL thread is that everyone keeps talking about.

Okay, I know I am forgetting so much...

AFM, I have my u/s on Friday and transfer next Tuesday!!!!!!! Almost to a single digit countdown!  I knew the vacation would help speed things up and it was a nice break from the real world to enjoy eachother!  I really hope the BFP's keep coming :)

LOL... no problem. I know how often I get confused by people's thread acronyms, so I just spelled it out. I went back to the post and actually put in a link to the thread, the better to stalk people with. ;)

Blueyezz4 - Thanks for thinking of me! I know I said I'd take a mini vacation from the infertility site but it's hard to stay away, so I've been stalking. I'm on CD30 and no AF but I did break down and POAS on Thursday. Negative 

I know it doesn't mean anything so I'm trying to stay positive. It helps that I'm working all this weekend so it'll keep me busy for a while, but one of the girls at work just announced she was pregnant and that it was an accident. Grrrr!

Every time I feel a slight trickle down there, I rush off to the bathroom expecting to see blood. Here's a question for everyone - I'm on prometrium vag suppositories. Does this suppress AF? My cycles are usually shorter than this (24 to 28 days).

Purple - I have heard that progesterone can lengthen your cycles, but it never has done anything to mine, so I can't say that from personal experience.  Maybe some of the other ladies will have more personal experience to share.  Sorry to hear about the neg. POAS test.  Try to stay positive... you just won't know until you get that blood test back, I'm living truth of that.  Still keeping my fingers crossed for you.  I also hate going to the bathroom around beta/AF time.  I always find myself trying to hold it b/c I just don't want to see red.  Good luck to you!!!

Blue 12 more days till puppy!!, the tww is treating me quite well :), this time I'm so much more relaxed and  time has actually gone flying I'm 9dpo already, one thing that helps is that I'm only doing suppositories which is so much easier last time I did suppositories, PIO and estrogen patches, I have no symptoms at all but I read everywhere of women who had no symptoms  and got a BFP so I'm not too worried.

Keria - That is right, only 12 days!!! Yay!!!  So excited!  Glad to hear you are flying through your tww and staying positive.  Are you on the Crinone gel progesterone or what exactly are you on?  I loved the gel compared to the PIO shots.  I'm glad this time is easier for you.  How come they don't have you on as much this time, but did last time?

Kewpie - how are you doing?  Did the bleeding stop?  I sure hope so.

Things were not so good when we got there today.  His advice was to transfer four... so I'm laying here sort of crying and feeling worried.  I'm sure the valium is not helping.

Taxlady - I'm so sorry to hear that  .... what is going on?  Was this a 5 day transfer or 4 day transfer?  Fingers still crossed for you!!!

Keira, I am so glad the 2ww is going quickly for you!  When is your beta?  I didn't have any symptoms before my postive beta in 2009.  Can you refresh me on how many and what stage you transferred?  Everything is still fuzzy from reading so much to get caught up :)

Taxlady, did you end up transferring the 4 your RE recommended?  I agree with Kewpie, try to relax.  I am sure it is hard, but try to remember that there are lots of babies from "non-perfect" cycles.  I remember a lady from my '09 thread whose embies were fragmented and she ended up with a BFP! 

AFM, I had a really funny conversation with a friend of a friend at a wedding this weekend.  She asked if we wanted any more kids and I said yes, but I lost a tube/baby in March so we don't know how long it will take to get pregnant again.  Then she said it should only take 2 months since one side still works  Her and her DH are super fertile and get pregnant on the first try each time (they have 3 kids), so I thought it was funny that she just assumed that's how it worked for everyone...  She also told me they have strips you can pee on and phone apps for timing intercourse if you really need help!!  HAHAHA!  Ignorance is certainly bliss :)

Now wouldn't that be NICE if it actually worked that way for everyone!!!  Love it!! LOL  Yes, Ignorance is bliss!!!!  Sure wish all of us w/ IF had a little more "bliss" in our lives!!  We do definitely have way more understanding, especially for others going through IF.

Belly- That's what I'm afraid of. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, because then I have further to fall. Less than 12 hours until my blood test. I hope they don't take too long to call me tomorrow.

I had to laugh at your story! I love that lady's logic, that it should only take 2 months. Ha Ha! My brother and sister-in-law are like that. She goes off the pill and 2 weeks later she's pregnant. She even got pregnant once while ON the pill - that's how fertile they are. Unfortunately she didn't know she was pregnant until a few weeks later and so had continued her BCPs and ended up having a MC.

Belly, I love the unsolicited advice of super fertile people.  I always feel like they think we MUST be doing something wrong.  Although I would NEVER wish infertility on anyone, a little understanding would be nice.

Taxlady, how are you doing today?

Blue, how is the painting coming?  It’s almost puppy time!  Thank you for your encouragement about the meds not turning you into a raging beast.  I think that’s one of the things that concerns me the most (that and the injections themselves-I completely skipped IUI + injectables so I have NO idea what I’m in for).  I still haven’t decided 100% about Attain, but I’ve came up with a plan to get the clinics discount, but it all depends on a credit card interest rate that I have to find out.  If you pay in full in advance they clinic gives you a 20% discount, which would bring the cost down to a comparable rate to the Attain price.  So my thought is to get a check from the credit card cashed, then deposit the cash into my checking account so that I can use a personal check to pay the Dr.’s office (has to be personal check or cash for the discount).  Sounds complicated as I type it out.  Like I said thought it depends on the interest rate-if it’s the same as or less than the financing rate I received I’ll go that route.  Whew, now I’m tired.

Alpha, how are you?  Has AF arrived for you yet?  How are the stims treating you?

AFM, cycle day 3-called the clinic this morning to request my BC.  I'm hoping this next month waiting for stims doesn't drag by.  I know the BC is a necessary part of IVF, but I can't help but feel like I'm wasting a cycle.  I hope all of you have a great Monday!

Inwaiting - I totally get that.  Could you apply for a new credit card with no interest rate for a year or so? DH and I did that when I was off work for the summer last year, because we knew that we would be racking up credit card debt. I found one that offers no interest for a year, and we are close to paying it back now (almost a year later). I am not sure if they do the no interest thing for when you just get cash though.  the meds didn't turn my into a crazy person either, but they did make me gain a lot of weight. I was also terrified about the shots, but once you have done it a few evenings, it is totally easy. I even have to do all of them myself - even the big scary shots in the butt. You can do it, you just have to get over the first hurdle of sticking yourself that one time, and it is much easier after that.

Taxlady - try to relax, like others said. Did you transfer 4? That seems like good odds to me, even if it was poor quality.

Belly - Gah! people ask me if I am having another child all the time. Like all the time, really. I am so sick of that question!

Blue - hi! Can't wait to see those doggy pics. No, we don't homeschool. DS is not even 4 yet. He is going to pre-school next year. I have been enjoying reading about it though - it is really inspring, and I think it is something that I could do (and would like to do) in the future. His preschool lasts for 3 years, through kindergarden, so I am thinking about starting after that. Our schools are pretty bad.

Kewpie - hi! Glad it is just old blood now.

AFM- just waiting, and trying to not obsess about TTC. I have family in town this week, which is a good distraction.
