Alaskan mom thread for June.

Summer's on its way. Had to start a new thread. :)

 

Took baby to a toddler time for the first time today. She seemed to have a good time.

 

Heard about a writer's camp for ages 10-14. Looking for more young writers!

classes will be held in the Winterberry school. details and application can be found here.

Hoping to round up some more young Alaskan writers. This is the first year 'trial" and need to get the word out!

Colony Days in Palmer starting tomorrow, friday. There is a parade saturday at 11am. Farmers market, lots of kids stuff, free petting zoo.

Wow, 9 days in to June and we are just getting a new thread started!
Remember the days when we were super chatty and the thread was 10+ pages long? Now we hardly make it to 3 before the month is over.

 

I have been wanting to do something, a work from home business and suddenly got very inspired the other day to make Homemade Specialty Dog Treats!! I'm super psyched about this and have had a lot of interest in just the past 48 hours! People will spend a TON of money on their pets!! 

 

We even have our own facebook page.

I'm in Bethel, AK.  Homeschooling my kids.  Summers are crazy- very little sunshine in the winter makes for staying outside, fishing, and playing all day long.  I am also pregnant with our fifth baby and am feeling sick and tired most days- so I am being a little more lazy than usual.  I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of schooling two and having three others to tend to. 

I hope you all enjoy the summer.

ugh, 2 full days of Rain here in Anchorage. Where did my sun go? It's been about a week now since we had a sunny day. I hope this is not a repeat of last year. :(

Thanks, Tammy.  I'm heading in to town w/ the kids again today, and I'm going to buy 4 or so more tests...He's not convinced by just one (lol, he took some convincing with Magnus and Iris, too!).  I'm SO excited. :)

Congrats!!!  Be sure to get the one with the actual words.  Maybe seeing it say the word 'pregnant' will convince him!  LOL

Oh, hell.  I give up!  I don't know if my cycle started or I'm spotting from messing around last night or what. :(

That's a huge cakepan filled with raspberries...none of which made it anywhere else but into granola bowls or straight into little tummies.  I had intended to make jam.  :)

We have rasberry plants around 2 sides of the yard -- I rarely get any into the house. LOL  Once in a while I'll go pick some before kids get up or after they are in bed....
