Just jumping in to say hi. Pdiannet - I actually know who you are, crazy... mostly from going to visit your neighbor next door, but still, hello from an ex-bethelite :) I miss the summers there. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Well, that was definitely my period starting.

To top it all off, the DH has been an ass about the whole thing.  :(  Grrrrrrrr.

Tears, and anger, and knowing that he's happy it's not sticking...GAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Good to hear from you, Christine.  I hope you are enjoying Anchorage.  We've had some great weather the last few days, yet swarming with mosquitoes.  You know how it goes, outside all summer, inside all winter.  We are enjoying no winter gear while we can.  Have a great summer.

Yeah, summers in Bethel are so much fun. We miss our boat but have been hiking several times a week as a family so that almost makes up for it. Just fun in a different way. :)

Things have really slowed down. DH had to take a new job but it came with a pay cut. At least we have a job I always say! So, nothing new has been added since last weekend. But we do have some supplies stored up and we have little projects to accomplish still. Paint, drywall, etc.... It will keep us busy.

The kitchen is very much usable and all this down time is actually helping to help us figure out the perfect locations for stuff. Like this weekend we spent a good 3 days moving the garbage can around to find the best spot. :)

On the outside, though, I'm happy to report or deck is back in one piece!!  Our ground sank over 6 inches this winter and took the deck with it!! We were able to salvage most of the original deck and only needed to buy 3  2x6's! Hooray!

We had a fun day out with the kids today!  Went to the Alaska Animal Conservation Center, Portage lake, and Whittier.   What fun stuff have you all been doing?

that sounds like fun!

We have just been doing nothing special. Gone to a couple of Anchorage Lakes and done some fishing.

Weather is pretty ugly and my garden is so slow growing. :(

lots of hiking at glen alps and prospect heights for us. After living off the road system for so many years and having no real developed trails like this it's lovely to have them everywhere you turn around! That and packing our house for our (intra-Anchorage) move... I will be so glad to get our housebuying process over with!

ICAN of Anchorage is partnering with ICAN of Juneau and SouthEast to help get the VBAC ban at Bartlett Hospital in Juneau lifted along with starting a grassroots campaign to get the regulations/statutes changed to let CDM's do out of hospital VBACs.

We need everyone's help!!

We need letters!!!

These can be testimonials, or you can find templates on the ICAN of Anchorage Facebook page.

You can email them to me

Roadfamily6now@hotmail.com

or

even in the mail if you want to hand-wright it.

PM me for my address. :)

Tell everyone you know! The more letters we can get the BIGGER impact we will have.

We have 2 months! I will make a copy of all the letter. 1 set will go with me to the Midwives Board meeting in Sept and the other set will go to Juneau!

THANKS!
