Best cow's milk alternative for 1 year old?

I plan to continue nursing DS past 1 year, but I WOH and would like to stop pumping after his first birthday.  He already (at 10.5 months) eats variety of solids and nurses quite a bit at night, so what's the best thing for him to drink at daycare once he turns 1?  He does not seem to tolerate cow's milk products, and I'd like to avoid soy.  Thanks!

I've heard good things about Goat's milk. It's expensive and I my son is 14 months and won't drink any milk, so no personal experience. I have several friends who's older infants/younger toddlers love it.

Goats milk would be a good healthy alternative. My dr was just telling me that after 1 babies are fine to just drink water and eat food once they are weaned, but if you want to give them something else goats milk (or organic cows milk) is fine.

I think if you nurse a lot when you are with baby, it's fine to go without other milks.

My research has made me totally comfortable with soy milk and other soy products. My 11 month old has had a cup of Silk before. I think cow or goat milk is better for the under-2 crowd, though. You could also try coconut milk but I'm not sure how it stacks up to dairy/soy, especially regarding calcium and protein.
