Look up your meds online.
There are side effects that can cause problems for baby, which makes for increased risk.

Depending on the drug and the practitioner, you may be able to stop the med at 36 wks.

This is not a rule according to the College of Midwives of Ontario. You have not mentioned who told you this - was it your midwife? Or someone else? There may indeed be concerns about the baby's adjustment at the time of birth, directly related to the medication; you would need to have a detailed conversation with your midwife about the risks involved before making a decision.
