I am 35 weeks 2 days along. I have been hesitant to post because I wasn't sure I would get my long desired homebirth.  My last baby was supposed to be a homebirth but I went into labor at 35 weeks and that went out the window.  He was born 100% healthy with an OB telling me that I HAD to be wrong about his EDD.  That he couldn't be pre-term. Of course same OB also ignored me when I said he was posterior and I wanted to be let out of bed to encourage him to turn.  When he was born she went "Oh wow he's posterior." The OB nurse said "Well mom told you that several times." To which the OB said "Well had I know I would have insisted on a c-section." I was so tired from the whole ordeal I didn't say it but I thought it "Well damn good thing you ignored me."

I need to make it to 36 weeks for my homebirth and ideally 37 weeks. However I am so close my confidence is taking hold that guess what this might actually happen. I have all my birth supplies ready. My birthing area is set up. All there is to do now is wait and hope I am waiting longer ;) I would give anything to be 39 weeks along and still waiting!  I have had 2 babies born at 39-40 weeks and they were my easiest labors so I would really prefer to suffer 4-5 more weeks than to suffer in labor.Â
