Intro--- Looks like I am getting a homebirth!

I am 35 weeks 2 days along.  I have been hesitant to post because I wasn't sure I would get my long desired homebirth.   My last baby was supposed to be a homebirth but I went into labor at 35 weeks and that went out the window.   He was born 100% healthy with an OB telling me that I HAD to be wrong about his EDD.   That he couldn't be pre-term.  Of course same OB also ignored me when I said he was posterior and I wanted to be let out of bed to encourage him to turn.   When he was born she went "Oh wow he's posterior."  The OB nurse said "Well mom told you that several times."  To which the OB said "Well had I know I would have insisted on a c-section."  I was so tired from the whole ordeal I didn't say it but I thought it "Well damn good thing you ignored me."

I need to make it to 36 weeks for my homebirth and ideally 37 weeks.  However I am so close my confidence is taking hold that guess what this might actually happen.  I have all my birth supplies ready.  My birthing area is set up.  All there is to do now is wait and hope I am waiting longer ;)  I would give anything to be 39 weeks along and still waiting!   I have had 2 babies born at 39-40 weeks and they were my easiest labors so I would really prefer to suffer 4-5 more weeks than to suffer in labor.

Good luck with that, and thank GOODNESS you never had a c-section! Doctors these days! Anywho! I'd love to be updated when you give birth! I LOVE reading about homebirths as this will be my first at home baby. :)

Yeah I never understood her.   She tried to imply it was cause the worried I would be pushing to long for a preemie to be able to handle.  I showed her I pushed 4 times.  smile.gif

I am so excited for my homebirth.  I will post my birth story when I have it.

Look like you got 2 more days to go until you get to 36 weeks. lol A friend of mine is 35 weeks with twins and she's trying to keep her legs crossed. lol

Yep just 2 more days.  I keep teasing I am going to keep my legs closed if he tries to come now.  LOL

I am religious and I have prayed and prayed that I can't have him yet.   June 15th is the day we lost my grandfather in 1994 and my 13 week M/C in 2004.  So I have to make it to Thursday for a few different reasons only one being the homebirth. LOL!

I keep hoping I deliver on June 26th.  I know I have no control but that would be awesome.  I keep dreaming the whole day out.  My dad teases he thinks I can pick my delivery date, because I wanted my 4 year old born on Halloween and she was.   I wanted her older sister born on Halloween and she wasn't so I tell him I really can't control when they come.  But if I could June 26th would be perfect.

My Halloween baby was born on my grandfather's birthday.   I was 37 weeks 3 days.   I will be 37 weeks 3 days along on June 26th and that is my Grandmother's birthday (the grandma that was married to that grandfather.)

However I know he will come when he comes.

There was a gal that from day one envisioned the day she would deliver, how it would go, and how she would feel and it happened exactly so. She WAS a day early, but she had her birth. :)

I keep envisioning that day.   Go to church, I have lunch.  My baby's father asked me to marry him recently so I signed up to go to a Bridal Show.  In my vision my room mate and I go to that and I come home, relax for a few minutes then labor starts.   I esp think the walking at the bridal show will be good to make sure he is in a good position.  ;)   Then he will come before midnight.  My labors have ranged from 2-4.5 hours so I think that is totally doable.  LOL

We shall just see what happens.
