I can't believe I am writing this. In my heart of hearts, I hoped things might go quickly and even the midwife not make it, but I never imagined it would happen, especially after such a long, slow early labor. But friends and family can't believe it even more, and I'm afraid we are going to be the talk of the town--not all of it good, probably.
Our sweet baby girl, Lydia Grace, arrived safely into her daddy's hands, after 16 hours of prodromal labor and 1 hour of precipitous labor. We are all doing well. She is 9lb, 12 oz, 21 inches long, and with a 14.5 inch head (I only needed two stitches. DH did a good job!). She is such a sweetie, and I love being her mama!
