Belly Picture Thread - Page 7

Wow, I would LOVE a nude still life drawing!  That would be awesome.  If I could find cool lingerie I'd totally do some scandalous photos.

I did pregnancy photos for my last go round...haven't decided if I want to do them again.

agreed, the nude still life sounds fantastic.  i am also jealous, in a friendly kind of way.  : )

i have never done professional pregnancy photos before, and i'm kind of sad that i won't get any.  i just can't justify the expense for our family.  i wish i had a local friend who was a really talented photographer.  heck, i haven't even taken any photos of myself this whole pregnancy!  i fear i'll be sad when this is all over, forever.  (weep)

My pregnant face is NOT something that I ever like to remember in photos.  That being said, we are going to kill 3 birds with one stone and do our family/Christmas/belly with DH and DD photos at Target sometime this month.  That's as close as I get.

ROFL, you have a point... I'll make sure to remember to tell my husband to shoot from the neck down.  lol.gif

I've wanted some every time, but we can't afford them, sadly.

Oh, and I had hoped to get some prof. photos done, but we are BROKE. I am owed quite a bit of money for work, but who knows if that will come in before my baby is born. My car has needed tons of repairs lately and we still have to finish paying the midwife. So, I think I might have a photo session where my 9 year old takes a bunch :) She loves to take pictures and I have a pretty nice camera, so if we take enough shots, there will likely be a few of them that look artsy and cool.

I'll be getting some pro photos done tomorrow...I'm so excited!! I found a lady on Craigslist who is looking to expand her portfolio, so I'll be getting them for free. Weeee!!!

Maybe we could make a separate thread for "pro" shots?

I was willing to pay the birth photographer (they ain't cheap around these parts!), but I'm glad I didn't as there wouldn't have been enough time to have her get there.  I pretty much flew through transition with my second.  In fact, my husband was offered inspirational photo ideas so he could take some...and it all happened so fast that even he didn't have time to pull out a camera!  I hope yours go really well.

I got to the hospital at 9cm last time, the photographer got there about 20 minutes after me, and we still managed to get 224 shots!

our family/mat shoot is tomorrow :)

I thought about a birth photographer, but I'm not sure I would feel comfortable with someone there taking pictures. As much as I know I would love having the photos when it's over, I just don't think I want any "outsiders" at the birth.

I'm thinking we should do the same. My husband is an enthusiastic hobby photographer, and we have all the gear (pro camera, tons of lenses, and studio lighting equipment). Lately, he has just been too busy with his real job (and traveling for work) to take many photos. And to have really nice ones, we might want to buy a good photo backdrop, and I'm not sure we have time to do this with everything else we still need to do.

I take the everyday shots of our 2-year-old. For the first year, I took at least one photo per day, and it was so cool to see how much (and how quickly!) he changed. Nowadays, I still take a lot of photos, but more often when we go somewhere (hike, amusement park, etc.) or when he does something really cute/funny. I also take videos of him. One of my projects before xmas will be to edit a video: birth to current. smile.gif
