Suddenly getting emails for subscribed threads

This has happened a few times. I have all my subscriptions set site only because I don't want an email every time someone posts. But every few weeks, I suddenly start getting email updates. When I go to my subscriptions, some are randomly set to receive email updates. Any idea why this happens and how to keep my setttings the way I want them? I woke up to something like 20 emails saying threads I was subscribed to had been updated.

If it helps, I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox.

I'm not sure but knowing that bug fixes and software updates are released and pushed to the site every two weeks that may be the culprit. I'll report this to our tech team. Thanks! :)

I just wanted to let you know that it happened again today - all threads I subscribed to today defaulted to email notification, even though my default was set to sit only. I'm baffled!

I have the opposite problem.  I want e-mails, and I'm set to get them (I even re-set my settings to make sure).  Then, about 2-3 weeks ago, they stopped.  Now I have to go to the Community homepage to see if any threads have been updated.  What's up?
