awesome children's movies

Hi there! We watch very little actual tv in our house- but we do watch movies several times a week. I am looking for some more children's movies with good messages, obviously no cursing/violence etc, possibly some that are not huge character merchandise type movies but that is not my main thing. Right now our (really, my) favorite is My Neighbor Totoro. I own all the Miyazaki movies and they are my favorites! Totoro is such a great kid's movie I can't even begin :) Any other suggestions?

What age range?

We really like the Scholastic movies made from books.  They manage to add life to the book while keeping the illustrations and the text is exact.  They do animate the original illustrations and add music.  So, it doesn't feel like a slide show.  Our favorites are "Chysanthemum" and "Owen" by Kevin Henkes.
