DD1 has been really interested in learning about the solar system for half a year or so now. I have not been able to explain things so that she understands, though, not with books, drawings, or the internet. greensad.gif She's starting to get really frustrated. I'll think we have a concept down and then we'll have a conversation like this:

(We walk into our house, home from the store, where we just started again on the whole subject in the parking lot because she wanted to understand why the moon was a tiny sliver.)

DD: "Is this Earth, still?"

Me: "Yep"
DD: "Right here!?"
Me: "Yep"
DD: "What!? It followed us in here!?!?!"

I was thinking a real visual, dimensional, physical representation would make it a lot easier for her to understand. When I looked it up, there are sooo many out there. Any favourites? I would prefer not to but styrofoam...
