Music Curriculum Recommendation for K-2nd Grade

I'm going to be teaching music in a co-op next year - 2 boys grade K, 2 girls grade 2.  I've not done music before, so can you suggest a good curriculum or give me some recommendations for activities we can do together?  TIA!

I've heard of co-ops learning the recorder at this young age. They are pretty inexpensive, easy to learn basic songs, and you can still work on other music things such as songs from other cultures, making your own instruments with recycled materials, and singing songs.

earthschooling.com has a co-op e-book for this I think.....it's for grade 2 and up but it may work for you...

Thanks! I'll look into both of those. I remember starting with the flutophone, then the recorder, then joining the chorus, playing the piano. I think our local elementary school teaches the ukulele and violin, but I don't know either of those.

I'd recommend the ukulele. Its really straightforward but allows the kids to accompany themselves while they sing, which they love. Its so incredibly easy too, you could very easily learn alongside your kids.
