My 27 month old DD has become obsessed with hiding.  Whenever DH or I leave the house, run upstairs, use the bathroom, etc...she wants to hide until we return and find her and she wants whoever is with her to hide as well.  Fine.  Except today she woke up from her nap and wanted to hide until DH came home from work.  He wasn't expected home for at least another hour.  When I refused to hide with her she screamed and cried.  I was finally able to distract her but it took at least 20-30 minutes and a wide variety of very highly motivating activities.  Usually she has an active imagination, a wide variety of interests, and very good attention span and is quite easy to entertain. Is this something I should worry about?  Does anyone have a similar experience - or helpful insight?
