DD is weaning & hormone changes

Hi..I don't post here to often, but was wondering what others experiences have been with this.  DD is just over 2 and was nursing 1x/day for a month or so.  Over the past few days she hasn't looked to nurse at all.  I think we are both pretty much done.  So anyway, I feel like i'm a PMSing mess.  Is this normal?  How long does this typically last?  Thank you!!  Laura

It's totally normal.  Unfortunately, I can't tell you how long this will last because it is different for each mother (and with each baby/child, too!).  Just know that you will be going through some basically post-partum issues as your hormones come back into "line" and be very gentle with yourself.

Congrats on making it two years!

Hallo, I am experiencing similar 'problem'. I have dropped breastfeeding my 9 month old daughter from about 4xday to once a day and I can see the difference in my body. I looked here to see if it is normal (headaches, feeling down, etc.) and I am reliefed that I am not the only one feeling this way. bf.jpg

I just weaned my 2.4 month old and I'm 20 weeks pregnant...I am a mess!! And that's putting it lightly greensad.gif. She weaned totally about a week ago and ever since I have the uncontrollable outbursts. I have zero patience or tolerance. I kept thinking it was just life and being pregnant the constant visitors in my home, but then it occurred to me it could be hormones from weaning...

If there anything I can do, take to help ease the transistion for my body? I never ever would have thought I would react this way and I didn't with my first two, weaned at 1 and 2 yrs. I feel awful for my kids, my husband the relatives that have been staying here..it sucks:(
