Molluscum *&^%$

Thread Starter

I am so sick of this darn crap.  It's been a couple months or so & the area where it originated (upper legs, inside of each) still looks the same.  Very tiny single pimple like bumps that are shiny or waxy looking.  And there may be a couple new tiny ones there too.  Areas where it had spread to seemed to have cleared up mostly (knock on wood) and there is only one really bad scar on the side of her wrist.  We went to the Ped originally to confirm that's what it was & he said he wouldn't suggest doing anything & he had heard of trying all the ideas from the list I brought in (gathered from MDC) but he felt like spending the $ might be a waste & it will just run it's course blah blah blah.

I tried to use a sterilized needle a couple times to remove the core & I just can't seem to make it happen???  It seems like it's right there & I could just pop it right out but it's not coming out for me.  I don't have pointy tweezers-only slanted ones & they didn't seem to be helping at all.  Would pointy tweezers make a difference?  I am just afraid if I don't get rid of these at this point, it's going to linger forever & spread another batch.

Also-I decided tonight to get crazy & I used band aids to secure tiny pieces of cotton soaked in breast milk to as much of the original spots as possible...

So right now DD1 has 4 band aids on various scrapes & bumps from playing today, calamine lotion on 5 really killer bug bites from last night & 5 band aids with balls of breast milk under them on top of molluscum.

My DD had this pretty bad and it cleared up with this Lemon Myrtle oil. http://www.lemonmyrtleessentials.com/products.htm This was about 3 years ago so I can't remember how long it took to work, but it hasn't come back! After using the oil it would make the little core (comes out looking like rice) start coming out. I'd pull it out easily with tweezers or tissue (don't let it touch anything) and then it would heal and be gone. I only did a few at a time so it wasn't so difficult for DD. She was fine with having it done after a couple times luckily.

This may have been something on your list already, but just letting you know that it can really work. Good luck!
