MF, that sounds like a lovely winter drink. I hope you were able to relax with it.

Yesterday, I was crabby mccrab face. We were late for everything, and I told DH that he needs to help me plan logistics for crazy days. I do so much other stuff, and he's in charge of his work stuff for camp, and playing with DD. I need more partnership-type help,.

Or more wine.

so... I have a huge update:

Worked out a great solution with STBX-DH: we are going to stay living together as roommates (thank goodness our house is big enough to have our own bedrooms), and co-parents and best friends, and possibly friends-with-benefits. feels great and I'm happy and he's happy and dd's happy.

Aaaaannd

had a great resolution and talk with ladyfriend, who is now officially my primary partner, in an open-relationship agreement.

*happy sigh*

Oh my goodness!  Yay!  What a good update.  It sounds like you have been really striving to make things work out for everyone, including yourself, and that is so hard to manage- but you are!

I had a dream the other night about McDonalds birthday cake.  Apparently, that's very good! (The dream. Not the cake.  Although the cake is decent, if memory serves.)

Anyway, just chiming in to say, "I want to move to Australia!"

That is all.

yay for moving to Australia, but I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to say the words "McDonald's cake" and "decent" in the same sentence.

I'm just shocked that McDonald's makes cake! And seeing as I've had their pies when I was MUCH younger, "decent" doesn't describe them at all.

DD's birthday is Monday. She'll be 3!!! And of course, the ILs are coming. That's less than exciting for me, but DD will be thrilled.

Why does McDonald's Birthday cake sound much worse than McDonald's or cake do independently...

because it is.

Normally, I'm last in line to defend McDonald's.  Actually, I wouldn't even get in line.  But, in this case, y'all are wrong.

McDonald's cake is pretty good.  Or it was last time I had some over 9 years ago.

I worked at McDonald's for many years in my youth and had lots of birthday celebrations for coworkers.  Good cake.

You have to thaw it out, but it's pretty good.  I've had much worse from companies that are healthier.

Like Whole Foods vegan cakes?  You can't pay me to eat one.

I don't believe it for a second. Impossible for McD's cake to be "good". It might be sweet... but anything will be sweet if you put enough sugar in it.

Well, I double dog dare you to go eat some, then. mischievous.gif

I do eat at McDonalds.  But I have decided (really recently) that I am going to cut way back.  The food doesn't taste that good anymore and is not satisfying.
