Just this past weekend I was at my grandmothers house doing my familt tree.
Eventually we got the subject of her daughter Elizabeth who died when she was 1 day old. My grandfather burried her but never -until that day - told her where.
It was such a touching moment! I have never seen my grndmother so exposed, I guess. There was a gleam of peace and sorrow in her eyes and she became quite and introspective, tears welling in her eyes.
It just hit home to me that even after nearly 50yrs a mother will still feel a maternal bond towards her daughter.
