How do I get into birth professionals?

I am confused about the moving from birth professionals to pregnancy and birth, and I'm really trying to get to Midwives. Can anyone make it really simple for a computer challenged person just trying to answer a good question on their forum? This whole website is set up so complicated compared to cafemom or babycenter or parenting. . .I wish someone would duplicate one of their styles here. (Preferably cafemom's) Thanks
