I am desperate for help on this. My son just turned 5 months and we had started introducing sweet potatoes with no trouble about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I stopped for about a week and then gave him some about a week ago. Since then, he has been vomiting forcefully all of his stomach contents (was on soy formula) almost every bottle. The weird thing is that sometimes he will go 4-5 hours before he actually vomits, sometimes it is immediate and during a feeding. This all started last Sunday and we have been in and out of the doctors for a week (including the ER) and through many tests (which have shown nothing).Â

The pediatrician at the ER said that he thinks it might be a formula intolerance to his soy so he has been switched to Nutramigen for two days (he had not thrown up on this until this morning). We have not given him any sweet potatoes since last Sunday but I suspect this is where it all started? Could the vomiting last this long? He is not badly dehydrated even though all this has gone on but I am terrified. Thanks for any help guys......
